Race day 5 mile

Hey guys!


So i ran a race today. last year I ran 3139 at this course...


Today I ran 28:50!


All that summer training and these past 3 weeks really have changed my outlook on XC!


I went thru mile 1- 531

Mile 2-5:59

Mile 3- 5:55

Mile 4- 5:35

Mile 5- 5:55


I want to say I was moving up in the last 2 miles I was picking off people and cuaght a teammate and we worked together! Then I couldnt breathe and just kept telling myself to break 30 all i needed was a 7 min mile...


Then I just held pace and stayed with my teammate and ran and kickd and beat him. I could have been a bit faster but I lost the ability to breathe...O well...it was exciting!

5 mile track workout

82,80,78,77,77,75,75,75,73,73,75,74,74,75,74,73,73 ,72,71,67 This was all done on the track with 1 minute rest.


 2 days ago I ran 15 miles at 6:45 pace on a hilly course.



...I am in better shape then last year by an average of 4-5 seconds per lap on this 20x400 workout


Thanks to Joe I was able to average this 4-5 seconds a lap faster. I figured its between 80-90 seconds faster over 5 miles.


This was all off 800 speed work and 5k distance work.

Love this race in Northern Wisconsin as it is handicapped for age. Our team has placed !st and second in the 3 man div.

  We aim to regain our title on Sept 26-09.
